SO WHERE ARE YOU IN THE PROCESS? ( a little adoption update)

So this is a frequently asked question these days (and rightfully so). I haven't updated our standing for over a month now, and some of you are wondering. We actually have been moving right along in the process...our homestudy is being written up, all our paperwork is filled out, our education classes have been finished, physicals are done, passports received, we have been fingerprinted in Chicago, and now we are just waiting for one little paper to come back from immigration (I think that's where it is coming from)so that our dossier is complete. So it is literally out of our hands right now. We WAIT! WAIT for this paper to come back....WAIT for our dossier to be sent to Ethiopia...WAIT for it to be translated...WAIT for our referral...WAIT for a court date...and WAIT to travel!
"Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord." (Psalm 27)
Now everyone who really knows me, knows that patience is not a virtue that I have been easily able to demonstrate. I wish I could, but I just get too excited...trying to make things happen on my own! BUT TRULY, God has provided in every way. EVERY WAY! From peace and excitement (when I was fearful and anxious), to a love for a little boy that I have never seen (when I doubted the ability to do so), for every financial need (the Lord is raising up others that our trusting in HIM with their finances and blessing us so that God alone can be glorified), to now a total trust in His timing (Praise the Lord). Sure I am excited to see this little guy, to get a glimpse of his face, to know his story BUT, I WAIT patiently knowing that our Father has our path in His palm. He knows the day and hour that we will meet, and for me to rush that or feel anxious about it, means that I am not trusting in His plan. I trust my Father because I know that He has the whole World in His hand...
"Yet the Lord longs to be gracious to you, he rises to show you compassion,
For the Lord is a God of justice. Blessed are all who WAIT for him!"
