So much has been going on that I thought I would give all of my friends that live far and near a little update.
ADOPTION: This has been most on our minds. We know that God has called us to "BE STILL AND JUST KNOW THAT HE IS GOD" And that this is in His timing! We believe it with all of our hearts, and yet our impatience gets the best of us. In our little minds this whole process could go so smoothly...so quickly. We had been wishing that every paper would come back within the time limit that is considered the norm. But as all previous adoptee families have told us...Patience is a virtue! A must in the process of adoption. We did just finally get our homestudy report! The only thing that we have been missing. We were told that the report would take about 4-6 weeks! And it took 12! But again, we are so trying to keep God's timing at the front of our thoughts. So now, we wait for the report to be approved by DCFS and then sent to immigration. We are told that immigration is really quick right now in Illinois...hopefully 2 weeks! BUT...we will wait patiently knowing that the Lord has the day in His plan! We just get so stinkin excited to meet our little boy on the other side of the world.
DOGS: Most of you really just don't even want to know the details...REALLY YOU DON'T! So to spare you all, we no longer have any dogs! Just 2 precious rabbits! And really, if you want my opinion, rabbits are the best pet imaginable.
SCHOOL: We are out on Wed. Can't wait to have freedom with our schedules and no homework! Third grade must have been the magic homework year. Where it turns from 10 minutes of fun to an hour of memorizing hard stuff!
VINTAGE BLU: I knew that May would be busy, but it has been beyond what I thought. I have enjoyed so many sessions this month with great, fun, new people...but have been unable to get them up for a sneak peak. I am so sorry! As a result, I am no longer promising sneak peaks! They still may come from time to time, but I can't always promise. For those of you waiting, you will be thrilled with your gallery!
