REFERRAL!

That is the word in the subject line of my email on Thursday morning July 23rd, REFERRAL!

"I will praise you, O Lord, with all my heart; I will tell of all
your wonders. I will be glad and rejoice in you; I will sing
praise to your name, O Most High." Psalm 9:1

I will tell you that the word, "REFERRAL", totally made me shake so hard... I thought I just may pass out...REALLY! We had NO IDEA it was coming...not even a tiny bit. We actually thought it was a mistake...it had to have been sent to the wrong family...Our agency surely would have told us they were about to send it to us...right????

Well, after waiting 4 looooooooooong hours on Thursday morning (our agency doesn't open until 11am Illinois time) it was confirmed that this sweet little face was in fact ours! Not a mistake...REALLY OURS!!!! AND REALLY SWEET!!!! AND PROBABLY JUST THE CUTEST FACE YOU HAVE EVER SEEN!!!! AND FOR SURE THE BIGGEST EYES YOU HAVE SEEN...I CAN PROMISE THAT! He is just so sweet. Did I already say that?

We are praising our Father who had this day in the beginning of time...who knows no surprises. He has been glorified in so many ways throughout this process. If you only knew all of the ways that He has been so clearly evident...In every detail!

We continue to covet your prayers as we finish our adoption story. We know that the "Lord has determined our steps..." That he is not shaking with anxiety over the rest of this journey...Pray that we will rest in his perfect peace and timing. That we will seek to glorify our Father in our lives and in this specific chapter of adoption. Thank you so much in advance!

**One funny story...Our kids are just so excited! They have been carrying his picture everywhere to show everyone! Well today, Paige had his picture at the pool. We were having a little picnic and of course she had his picture in her hand...well she proceeded to feed him doritos (well feed the picture of him...) SOUL!!! In her own world!
