SHOTS of Excitement

Today has been a little exciting....OK, not as exciting as our referral day, but this comes in as the 2nd most exciting day that we have had in our adoption process! Why, you ask? OUR DOSSIER IS DONE AND IN THE MAIL!!!! Our I71 came today...woohoo!!! That little piece of paper that we have been waiting for came...it finally showed up. It was the last piece of our puzzle. We immediately took that and the rest of our papers and sent it off. On to DC, then Washington State, then Ethiopia....THEN HOPEFULLY WE GET A COURT DATE!!!!! We are so excited and so thankful to all of you who have been praying for our process. We know the Lord is using you in our story! We can't wait to get moving and get little "Tripp" home. Yep, that's his name! Tripp Rugaard (his African name is going to be his middle...but I don't think we are allowed to post that).
Anyway, we also did shots today for our travels. 5 of them...that's right, 5 shots!!!! I got just about every side effect that you can get just from reading the list of possible side effects. And that was before I even received the shots...MENTAL CASE!!!! We survived and actually besides a little soreness in our arms, feel pretty good. enjoy your weekend and keep the prayers coming our way!

  1. Congrats on getting all these things DONE!! Yeah, probably not a good idea to read those pages on possible side effects for those shots. :)
Can not wait to see Tripp when you pass court, and CAN NOT wait for Tripp to be HOME with you all. I love his name, too cute!!
    Praying for you all!!

  4. I am so happy for you guys!! Isn't it amazing how such an important piece of paper can look so unimportant. For all the waiting we all do for that piece of paper, it should at least have a big gold seal on it or something!! I remember sending off my dossier, it was a GREAT day!! So excited for you guys!!

  5. Awesome!! We are so happy for you. I'm trying not to be a little jealous! So exciting to read your posts that the paperchase is over. No more waiting for papers, clearances, approvals...just waiting for Tripp! Thanks for giving me hope that our turn will come, eventually. Shell
